12 Years A Slave Leads Indie Spirit Nominations
Short Term 12 also scores several nods

It’s that time of year when indie filmmakers’ thoughts turn to awards. As the Indie Spirit nominations arrive, announced this year by Octavia Spencer and Paula Patton, the films scoring several nominations between them are awards favourites 12 Years A Slave and Short Term 12.

Of course not all the nominees have the same number in their title, with the likes of All Is Lost, Nebraska, Inside Llewyn Davis and Mud all set to compete for gongs at the ceremony.
