Two New Anchorman: The Legend Continues Clips
And a final burst of character posters arrives

We can almost smell the Sex Panther from here. As Ron Burgundy, Brian Fantana, Champ Kind and Brick Tamland march towards cinemas with the speed of the world’s best (in their minds, anyway) News Team for the Anchorman sequel, more clips have arrived showing the guys having trouble A) understanding the new Australian owner of Global News Network and B) sensing rivalry in James Marsden’s smooth anchor Jack Lime.

Anchorman: The Legend Continues sets the clock forward to the 1980s and sends our heroes off to New York, where they’re confounded by, among other things, the 24-hour cable news cycle, gay rights and the fact that they’re suddenly smaller fish in a much bigger pond. That someone has probably peed in.

Added to that, Ron’s marriage to Veronica Corningstone (Christina Applegate) has hit the rocky shoals of separation bay and you’ve got the ingredients for a real challenge to the team. Still, you can dry your eyes on the final batch of character posters that have arrived (please print them out first, as monitors are dreadful for mopping up tears), featuring Ron’s new lady interest Linda Jackson (Meagan Good), Brick’s apparent soulmate Chani (Kristen Wiig), Marsden's Jack and Baxter, Ron’s trusty, Spanish-speaking hound.

Anchorman: The Legend Continues arrives here on December 20. For exclusive interviews with Will Ferrell and the rest of the men behind the News Team, pick up the latest Empire, which hits shelves on Thursday.
