New Thor: The Dark World Clip Slams Down
Chris O'Dowd gets his superhero moment

Something wicked this way comes and it's wearing the garb of a Dark Elf. But before Thor: The Dark World's big bad reveals himself, Marvel has one of the movie's lighter moments to share with the world. This one, via Buzz Sugar, features the film's womenfolk and a newbie: Jane Foster (Natalie Portman) and pal Darcy Lewis (Kat Dennings), here interrupting Chris O'Dowd's moment in the superhero sun.

As O'Dowd told Indiewire last year, the cameo is probably the closest he'll get to his own superhero movie. “I didn't think there was any way that I could be in a superhero movie", he said, "so I did a scene in the new Thor movie, just for that". Don't expect more O'Dowd though, sadly. "I just do like one scene."

Aside from O’Dowd, Portman and Dennings, the Dark World cast includes Chris Hemsworth, Anthony Hopkins, Zachary Levi, Idris Elba, Ray Stevenson, Christopher Eccleston, Jaimie Alexander and one Mr Tom Hiddleston. Thor: The Dark World is out in the UK on October 30.
