New International Trailer For Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit
'You're not just an analyst anymore Jack...'

Now that we’re just over two months away from the release of Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit, which sees Chris Pine step into the shoes of Tom Clancy’s most famous character, the marketing campaign is ratcheting up a gear or six. The first trailer touched down a couple of weeks ago and now here comes the international promo.

As Kevin Costner’s CIA handler tells him, Jack is no longer just an analyst here; he’s on active operational duty despite his rookie status. When he discovers a dastardly Russian plot to destroy the world's economies led by Viktor Cherevin (Kenneth Branagh, who also directs), it leads him to go on the offensive.

Pleasingly, this new trailer puts Keira Knightley’s Cathy Ryan in a much more positive light; instead of a concerned wife, she’s much more his equal, helping out on the mission at one point.

There are still more shades of Martin Campbell and Daniel Craig’s first take on Bond here, which hopefully is a world that Ryan can play well in. And while the new trailer borrows a fair chunk of its footage from that first one, there's enough fresh material here to make it well worth a watch. David Paymer, Nonso Anozie, Colm Feore and Matt Rippy are all part of the cast for Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit, which is out on December 26.

very bond...
yep, the first bit did look a bit like the first bit in Casino Royale but never mind. like the look of this a lot. Pine's good. Love Kev. Kenny's maaaarrrrrvelous! bring it on. the only problem for me is Knightley. I don't get it, sorry. anyway, I'll still go see it. More
