Latest Walter Mitty Trailer Journeys Online
Update: UK Trailer now added

14 October 2013  |  Written by James White

After impressing the CinemaCon crowd earlier this year – and giving us a sneak peek at some other footage – 20th Century Fox is keeping the marketing train going for Ben Stiller’s latest, The Secret Life Of Walter Mitty. A third trailer is now online.

Adapted from James Thurber’s short story by, among others, The Pursuit Of Happyness' Steve Conrad, the film finds Stiller as the eponymous Mitty, a quiet wage-slave working away in the bowels of Life magazine’s picture department.

He’s not, by his own admission, the most interesting guy and spends most of his time living in a fantasy world. But when a negative intended for the magazine’s final cover sent by his old photographer pal Sean O’Connell (Sean Penn) goes walkabout, Walter decides to go on a mission to track it down.

It could mean that he’ll finally have an actual adventure, and may find the guts to ask out co-worker Cheryl (Kristen Wiig). The cast also includes Adam Scott, Kathryn Hahn, Shirley MacLaine and Patton Oswalt.

The Secret Life Of Walter Mitty has screened at the New York Film Festival, receiving a mixed reaction, but we’ll get all get our chance to see it when it lands in the UK on December 26.

Update: What a difference a week makes. Well, in trailer terms, not loads as this UK promo features a lot of similar footage. But it's been remixed and re-edited and there are some new snippets here and there including an early fantasy sequence scored to the start of Bohemian Rhapsody. Check it out below.
