First RoboCop Reboot Poster Online
Your move...

We’ve already had a good look at the new model RoboCop (played in this instance by Safe House’s Joel Kinnaman) thanks to the trailer, which arrived online last week. Now here’s a chance to get up close and impersonal with the cyborg copper in the poster.

Director Jose Padilha’s new take on the tale of man meeting machine for law enforcement purposes is set in 2028, at a time when multinational conglomerate OmniCorp is looking to expand its reach beyond supplying army drones and military ‘bots for overseas conflicts.

The company, led by Michael Keaton’s greedy CEO, sees a prime opportunity when dedicated undercover cop Alex Murphy is critically injured in a bomb blast outside his home. Slotting him into a cyborg frame, they figure he’ll be the first of many, a boon to their shareholders and a chance to control the police force. They counted without Murphy’s human side trying to overcome his technological trappings…

Gary Oldman, Jackie Earle Haley, Abbie Cornish, Jay Baruchel, Jennifer Ehle and Michael K. Williams all crop up in the film, which has targeted a February 7 release over here.

RE: RoboCrock
I found the trailer to be better then I expected. You know a remake can not hurt the original if it's rubbish you still have the original but if it's good you have another movie. And you do know that it's films like this that get lower budget films made. Really hope that people who have slagged this film off evenbefore seeing it really end up likeing it so they can eat humble pie. More
