Aaron Paul Joins Ridley Scott's Exodus
Sigourney Weaver & John Turturro also making deals

Aaron Paul wins 2012 Emmy

Forget science, bitches: looks like Jesse Pinkman’s about to get Biblical on us all. Which is a very Breaking Bad (or just plain bad) way to say that Aaron Paul is joining the cast of Ridley Scott’s Moses epic Exodus, a film that already boasts Christian Bale and Joel Edgerton.

He’s not the only new recruit, because Scott is also making deals with John Turturro and the director’s old cohort Sigourney Weaver. Paul is negotiating to play Joshua, the Hebrew slave who helps to lead the people to the Promised Land after they’re initially freed by Bale’s Moses.

Weaver and Turturro will show up as the parents of Pharoah Ramses (Edgerton), and we’re particularly happy to see Scott and Weaver reunited for the first time since 1992’s 1492: The Conquest Of Paradise.

Exodus promises to be an even bigger film, one that Scott has been working on for several years now. The script has been through several writers, but Steven Zaillian is giving it a polish ready for the director to shoot starting next month in England, Spain and Morocco.

Paul has been going great guns since making a real name for himself on Breaking Bad. He’s shot Need For Speed and Nick Hornby adaptation A Long Way Down and is at work on indie pic Hellion. Weaver was last seen in Vamps and is set to play the Inquisitor in Mortal Instruments sequel City Of Ashes. Turturro will be back on our screens (and directing Woody Allen, no less) with Fading Gigolo, having also worked on Gods Behaving Badly and The Locals.
