Divergent Trailer Tease Online
'You're different...'

Some trailer teasers these days are so short it makes older promos look like Warhol’s Empire by comparison. Prepare not to blink lest you miss, then, the first brief tease for Divergent

Of course, this is a mere snippet of the full trailer, planned for launch during the MTV Music Video Awards pre-show on Sunday. While attendees at this year’s Comic-Con got a look at a trailer, the world will get a proper look at Shailene Woodley’s Tris Prior when the new footage arrives online.

Divergent is set in a future Chicago where people are divided into distinct factions based on their personalities. Tris is warned she is "Divergent" and will never fit into any one group. When she discovers a conspiracy to destroy all of her kind, she must find out what makes being divergent so dangerous before it's too late. Can she survive? And will she fall for hunky trainer Four (Theo James)? (The answer to at least one of these questions is "yes")

With Kate Winslet, Miles Teller, Ray Stevenson, Maggie Q, Ashley Judd, Ansel Elgort, Mekhi Phifer, Jai Courtney and Zoe Kravitz all in the cast, Divergent will be in UK cinemas on March 21 next year.
