Enough Said trailer

The tragic recent death of James Gandolfini means we have only a few unseen performances of his left to enjoy. One of them was in Nicole Holofcener’s romantic comedy drama Enough Said, and its first trailer is now on Apple.

Enough Said appears full of Holofcener’s narrative trademarks: love, confusion, manners and awkwardness (not to mention regular collaborator Catherine Keener). It's the story of masseuse Eva (Julia Louis-Dreyfus), a divorced single parent staring down the barrel of empty nest syndrome as her daughter heads to college.

At a party, she meets Albert (Gandolfini), a sweet, funny and like-minded man in a similar situation. As their romance quickly blossoms, Eva befriends Marianne (Keener), her new massage client. Marianne is a beautiful poet who seems "almost perfect" except for one prominent quality: she rags on her ex-husband way too much. Suddenly, Eva finds herself doubting her own relationship with Albert as she learns the truth about Marianne's ex…

Featuring Gandolfini in softer, romantic mode, Enough Said will premiere at the Toronto Film Festival and will hit the US on September 20. There’s no sign of a UK release yet.
