Elysium Featurette Online
'Earth has become a third world planet'

Neill Blomkamp’s latest sci-fi, Elysium, already has us eagerly anticipating release. This new featurette, with the cast and director discussing the world of the film, just adds fuel to that fire. Check it out at Moviefone.

Elysium takes place in a future where the world has become the polluted, dirty, overpopulated, crime-ridden nightmare we all think it’s headed for anyway. Orbiting above the surface, tantalisingly out of reach to all but the mega-rich, is the eponymous space platform, a haven for the moneybags, boasting clear air, plentiful food, advanced medical technology (cancer? Sorted) and laughing, happy people.

Getting to Elysium is no easy task: it’s protected by weaponry and troops and the sniffy Secretary Rhodes (Jodie Foster) decides who gets in and who gets shot down. Max De Costa (Matt Damon) a former criminal-turned-working schlub needs what Elysium has to offer. But can he get there?

With Sharlto Copley, Alice Braga, William Fichtner, Diego Luna, Wagner Moura and Talisa Soto also aboard, Elysium will be out on August 21. Check out the latest trailer below.

Oooh...
Aug 21st can't come quick enough. So looking forward to this movie! Visually it's looking fantastic and that's only on my 13' laptop! So, chances are it'll be stunning on the big screen. :-) More
