Insanely Cool New Trailer For Only God Forgives
Feast your eyes on this neon banquet

The new film from Nicolas Winding Refn, Only God Forgives, has always looked pretty cool. But it has reached impossible new heights of hipness in this new colour-drenched trailer, which makes the film look like it's not only too cool for school but for college and kindergarten as well.

The film stars Ryan Gosling as Julian, a Westerner living in Bangkok. His brother is killed in revenge for slaughtering a young prostitute, and Julian's hard-as-nails mother (Kristin Scott Thomas) expects her younger son to take revenge on his killers. Only one problem: the man responsible is Chang (Vithaya Pansringarm), a terrifying retribution machine working with the city's police.

As you'd expect from Winding Refn, it's all a lot more atmospheric and elegaic than that description might suggest, as you'll see when the film arrives on August 2 (July 19 if you happen to be in the USA).

If you are taken by the music here, incidentally, it's by Suuns and the track's called 2020.

Mate, who gives a fuck if you've seen it or how long it's been out in Finland for? Yeah, nobody. L: Pelle What? You losers are still waiting for this film? It opened here in Finland like over a month ago. It's nice looking but quite shit compared to Drive. More

Very cool trailer but be careful...
This trailer is nothing like the movie which is more atmospheric, surreal and abstract! Those expecting Drive will be disappointed, this is more of a Fear X, Bronson, Valhalla Rising type of film. There's no coolness or B movie vibe that all the trailers were trying to sell. More
