New Frozen Ground Trailer
John Cusack is a psycho...

04 July 2013  |  Written by James White

It’s been less than a month since we last saw a trailer for serial killer thriller The Frozen Ground, and if you ask us, this new one almost seems more like a teaser than that one. Still, it hypes up the moody, gritty, frosty atmosphere of the film, so take a look.

Based on a true-life tale, Frozen Ground tracks the story of Robert Hansen (John Cusack), who, though he appeared to be a stable and sensible citizen, abducted more than 12 women over a 24-year period and flew them to the Alaskan wilderness where he hunted and slaughtered them.

Nicolas Cage is Jack Halcombe, the dogged State Trooper who caught the case and investigates Hansen, trying to bring him to justice. He gets help from Cindy Paulson (Vanessa Hudgens), a young prostitute who Hansen kidnapped, but who managed to escape his clutches.

Though it could have been headed straight to video given the delay in getting it released, the film will actually arrive in our cinemas on July 19.

Your Comments

In case a viewer of "The Frozen Ground" is left unsatisfied with the necessary compression of events, composite characters, etc. that are necessary to produce a movie of less than two hours inlength, and want to learn more about the Hansen case that inspired the movie one could do worse Then read "Fair Game" (http://tinyurl.com/mqssp5z) by Bernard DuClos that was recently republished.
