Drew Struzan Documentary Draws Up A Trailer
The poster artist icon will be profiled

If there is one person indelibly linked with movie artwork across the last few decades, it's poster genius Drew Struzan. A man who has crafted some of the most iconic one sheets of all time for films such as Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Blade Runner and the Harry Potter series. He’s been acclaimed for years, but is getting his full documentary due with Drew: The Man Behind The Poster. The trailer is below.

Featuring interviews with the likes of Steven Spielberg, Michael J Fox, Harrison Ford, Thomas Jane, Frank Darabont and Guillermo del Toro, the doc also looks at Struzan’s methods, carefully fashioning each image to fit both the film and a feeling.

The piece will premiere – fittingly – at this year’s Comic-Con, with a screening on July 19, before a Stateside rollout on a very limited number of screens on August 16. There’s no word yet on a UK date, assuming it’ll even make it to our shores. We can but hope…
