Vin Diesel Says Marvel Wants A Meeting
The Fast & the Nick Fury-ous?

Fast & Furious 6, Vin Diesel

That Vin Diesel certainly knows how to drum up publicity and keep his fans in the loop at the same time. Not content with being a one-man press outlet for details on the new Riddick adventure for months, he’s now dropped a tiny hint about Marvel approaching him to talk about… something.

As of right now, all we have to go on is a sneaky postscript on Diesel’s latest Facebook status, which simply reads, “Marvel has requested a meeting... no idea what for... haha, you probably know better than me...”

Though we’re not sure Marvel will exactly appreciate him revealing such a thing, it’s not like he’s given away much. For all we know, they’re all just huge fans of the Fast & Furious franchise and just want to get an autograph from the man who lives life a quarter mile at a time.

The possibilities, however, are endless. Is he in contention to play Thanos in future Marvel movies including The Avengers 2? Or is he going to be part of some new, still-to-be-announced movie? Vin Diesel as Ant-Man? (No, we don’t see that one either). Given his iconic tonsil work on The Iron Giant, maybe we could see (or hear) him voicing Rocket Raccoon for Guardians Of The Galaxy...

So far, everything is simple speculation – but it’s such fun to speculate. So let us know in the comments and on Twitter what you think Diesel would be right for. Expect denials, rejections and silence from Marvel until the company has something to report, should that actually happen.

RE: Vin Diesel Says Marvel Wants A Meeting
Rocket's casting announcement is long overdue... whoever they cast is probably already in advanced talks. I think that it is safe to rule out GOTG now that they are ready to start filming. It is very unlikely that Marvel would be just kicking off discussions for a substantial role now, either it's minor or it's not happening. That would mean Avengers 2 and beyond. Joss Whedon is certainly in the process of casting Avengers 2 right now, He has just cast Quicksilver and is presuma More

RE: My money is on....
L: willy2fly Vin voicing Rocket Racoon in GOTG. That's what they are still casting for at the moment I believe. I think he would be a fantastic choice. Just the right mix of laconic gruff. 'm with you there! It's about time there was a new GOTG announcement seeing as Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, John C.Reilly and Michael Rooker have been on board for some time now. Vin Diesel voicing Rocket Racoon - Excellent! e would also make a really good Luke Cage! Just sayin........ More
