New Percy Jackson: Sea Of Monsters Promo
More monsters! More sea! More Lerman!

It doesn’t seem all that long since we last got a look at a trailer for Percy Jackson: Sea Of Monsters. And indeed it wasn’t, as the previous promo arrived at the end of May. Still, this new international footage features a lot more creature action, so we thought we’d pass it along.

Sea Of Monsters finds Percy (Logan Lerman) closer to being at peace with his demigod status and enjoying life at Camp Half-Blood. But the safety of that haven is shattered thanks to the evil machinations of Luke (Jake Abel). He isn’t as dead as everyone thought, and has hatched a plan to awaken and release Kronos, father of the Gods, a beast  none too pleased about that time his kids defeated him, chopped him up and locked him away, seemingly for all eternity.

To save the camp – and by extension, both Olympus and the mortal realm – Percy and pals (including Alexandra Daddario’s Annabeth and Brandon T. Jackson’s Grover) must journey to the legendary Sea Of Monsters (what we know as the Bermuda Triangle) to find the Golden Fleece. So, you know, no pressure.

Percy Jackson: Sea Of Monsters makes landfall here on August 7. It’s the second film this year after apocalypto-com This Is The End to feature a giant CG demon stalking the Earth, though probably without the, er… Well, you’ll see if you watch This Is The End
