Marvel And Disney Announce Two Mystery Movies
Could Doctor Strange be on his way?

Doctor Strange

Exciting news from the Marvelverse. Walt Disney and Marvel have announced two mystery projects, schedule for release in the summers of 2016 and 2017 respectively, to add meat to the bones of Marvel's Phase 3.

May 5, 2016 and May 5, 2017 are the dates scheduled for the releases. While their identities can only be guessed at, judging by Marvel boss Kevin Feige's recent comments we can at least do that with one of the names in the mix. “Doctor Strange, which I've been talking about for years, is definitely one of them," Feige told MTV. "He's a great, original character, and he checks the box off this criteria that I have: he's totally different from anything else we have, just like Guardians Of The Galaxy. He's totally different from anything we've done before, as is Ant-Man, which keeps us excited."

Ant-Man, of course, spearheads Phase 3 in December 2015, so these newly releases mark Phase 3.2 and 3.3, presumably with The Avengers 3 bookending the phase in 2017.

In other Disney news, the Mouse House has also announced a Christmas Day 2014 slot for Rob Marshall's adaption of Stephen Sondheim musical Into The Woods.
