Now Meet Transformers 4's Hound
He's a military man... Er... Robot

Michael Bay seems keen to keep his robots in disguise on view as he gets to work on Transformers 4. We’ve already been introduced to new vehicles in the Bugatti Grand Sport Vitesse and Corvette Stingray, a re-designed Optimus Prime truck and Bumblebee’s new look, the retro Camaro. Now is the turn of a real newcomer to the film franchise, Hound. Take a look at his vehicle form in the gallery below.

Hound, who has cropped up in the video game and toy line already but is making his movie debut with the fourth film, is usually portrayed as a Jeep Wrangler. That, of course, isn’t muscular enough for Bay, who has instead decided to make him a Medium Tactical Vehicle designed and built by Oshkosh Defense.

He’s joining the rest of the Autobots alongside humans Mark Wahlberg, Nicola Peltz, Sophia Myles, Li Bingbing, Jack Reynor, Kelsey Grammer, Stanley Tucci and TJ Miller in a tale that sees humanity still recovering from the horrendous Battle Of Chicago but facing new threats from within and without.

Bay is shooting in Texas, Michigan, Illinois, Utah and China, with Transformers 4 set to arrive on June 27 next year.

Not Sure
Hound, in the original cartoons at least, was one of the first to form a connection with Spike and the other humans (as opposed to Bumblebee in the films) because he was a humanitarian who only used violence if he had to. Seeing him as an MTV doesn't bode well for the new film - kinda against his nature. And, they're gonna need a SEVERELY good actor to voice him if he is gonna be a reflection of the original Gen 1 version. More

Was watching the first one again the other day with a mate, got us thinking, why did the decepticon's get all the cool transforms, 2 jet's, helicopter, satilite and a tank! All the autobots got were cars.... At least this will help to balance the field a little More

What's the problem?
This looks badass! This Hound would eat the old Jeep Hound. The old Hound's a p*ssy compared to this. This Hound is going to crush old Hound, eat his metal bones, poop them out and then use them to desecrate all the fanboys' childhood memories (which might be a good thing because they might grow up) and then bitch slap some sense into them for caring about a kid's franchise. I repeat ... a KID'S franchise. Then he's going to digitally insert himself into Star Wars, Indiana Jones and Chris Nolan' More
