Gillian Anderson X-Files Empire Podcast Special
Find out more about 'The Curse Of The Buxom Strumpet'

gillian anderson the fall

Gillian Anderson has been appearing on our TV screens rather a lot of late, turning up in NBC's Hannibal and another serial killer series, The Fall, here in the UK.

In the Empire Podcast studio to talk about both those shows - as well as a little phenomenon some like to call "The X-Files" - Anderson is frank, funny and slightly forgetful in our hour-long special as she talks about her pub quiz adventures with Simon Pegg, an upcoming project known as 'The Curse Of The Buxom Strumpet' and what X-memorabilia she stole back in the day...

P.S. Don't forget to check out our podcast photo gallery here and subscribe to the Empire Podcast via our iTunes page or this handy RSS feed.

Pub quizzing with Simon Pegg...
I remember it well....our local Thursday night pub quiz at The Shepherds on Archway Rd (now called The Boogaloo), frequented most weeks by Mr Pegg and Mr Frost. It wasn't until they asked a question about the X-Files, and the pub laughed knowingly, that I pointed out to my wife that she was sitting back to back with Gillian Anderson...Oh how we laughed!!!! She is an amazing actress
I wish we saw her more. Not just another X-Files film (yes please btw), but in good solid movies with good performers like herself. More

@ wedgeski - I do as well. She's a wonderful actress of course! I think she's done really well to carve out a strong career post-XFiles. More
