Jason Statham teams with Steven Knight

If any blockbusters you've seen recently have left you with a taste for a little more Jason Statham in your life, we have a treat for you. His next film is Hummingbird - or, for US readers, Redemption - and we have some new stills from the film below.

The story sees Statham play an ex-Special Forces soldier who's now living rough on the streets of London. When his friend is abducted and he's chased into the empty apartment of a rich man who's away for months, he seizes the chance to clean up his act, take on a new identity and clean up the streets a little.

The film also stars Agata Buzek, and of course it's written and directed by Steven Knight, making his directorial debut after a writing career that's included impressive efforts like Eastern Promises, Dirty Pretty Things and Amazing Grace

Hummingbird is out on June 28 in the UK, and Redemption is out in the US on the same day.

Thank you for these great goodies. We are big admirers of Jason Statham's work and are really excited about "Hummingbird" or "Redemption" as it is (unfortunately) known here in the US. He always shines in British Indie films and that one seems to be a perfect fit for him. We hope you feature his new film in one of your upcoming magazine issues as we always love reading Empire Online. More

How can you get excited about this film?!?!?
I saw this in January at a screening and the whole cinema laughed throughout the whole film. Its truly shocking, plot and acting at its worst. More
