TJ Miller Boards Transformers 4
UPDATE: Now with added Bumblebee

Update: No Transformers movie is complete without Optimus Prime and Bumblebee, and they're back with tweaked designs this time. Michael Bay put pictures of both online and you can find it in the gallery lower down the page...

As filming kicks off on the latest Transformers instalment – currently just known as Transformers 4 – Michael Bay has added a little extra comic relief to the film in the form of comedian / actor TJ Miller.

Miller, best known over here for She’s Out Of My League and a wealth of supporting performances, will be playing Mark Wahlberg’s best friend in the film, a fellow mechanic.

Wahlberg, of course, is our human hero, alongside on-screen daughter Nicola Peltz, Jack Reynor, Stanley Tucci, Sophia Miles, Fan Bingbing and Kelsey Grammer.

Given the franchise's theme, the cars will once again be the stars, and two of the new vehicles have cropped up in pictures over at Yahoo Movies: the C7 Corvette Stingray and the Bugatti Grand Sport Vitesse, the latter of which would set interested buyers back a cool $2.4 million. Let’s hope they’ve got a couple of spares handy in case anything happens to it…

This film is set after the traumatic Battle of Chicago as seen in Dark Of The Moon and finds the Autobots largely gone from the world. But when human intelligence officers dig up Transformer technology and start figuring out ways to use it for the benefit of black ops, they incur the wrath of an ancient robotic menace and the robots in disguise return to help out.

Transformers 4 will film in Arizona, Detroit, Chicago and China. And it’ll invade our cinemas next year on July 10.
