Adam Scott For Hot Tub Time Machine 2
Diving into the comedy

Adam Scott

While he’s been a reliable supporting actor for years, particularly in the likes of Step Brothers, Adam Scott has also done good work when he gets the opportunity to be more of a leading man (Friends With Kids). Now comes a chance for even more exposure (possibly literally) because he’s in early negotiations to join the cast of Hot Tub Time Machine 2.

Rob Corddry, Craig Robinson and Clark Duke and director Steve Pink are all making deals to return for the sequel, but John Cusack currently is not. Scott, assuming he signs on, is set to play an entirely new lead for the film, which, while plot details are under wraps, focuses on a hot tub that doubles as a time machine. The big question this time is where the four main men will travel and how it will affect their lives. Are they headed for the past, as in the ‘80s-set original? Or will they go the Back To The Future route and explore the years to come?

Scott showed up in Sundance favourite A.C.O.D. and will next be seen on the big screen as Ben Stiller’s corporate nemesis in The Secret Life Of Walter Mitty. He’s also great on US TV sitcom Parks & Recreation, though if you’ve only just started watching it, you’ll have to wait for him to show up…
