Men In Black 4 Has A Writer
Oren Uziel's on script duty

Men In Black 3

Sony is now actively pushing ahead on development for a fourth Men In Black movie, hardly a major shock given the (slightly) better critical reception and decent box office of the third film.

As The Hollywood Reporter cautions, it’s at an embryonic stage, and there are no deals in place for Will Smith, Tommy Lee Jones or anyone else (including, should they want to exploit the 1960s-era MIB HQ, Josh Brolin or Alice Eve) to return, and the studio will no doubt be throwing this one over to the accounts department to see if it makes financial sense.

Oren Uziel, who wrote genre-mash script The Kitchen Sink (also in development at the studio) is clearly the man of the moment for Sony, as he’s not only been tasked with crafting the first draft of the new MIB adventure (probably the first of many given this franchise’s history), but also a new script for 21 Jump Street 2, which already boasts a first pass by the original movie’s Michael Bacall.

MIB 4’s story is naturally under wraps for now, assuming it even exists, and there’s no word on when it might hit screens and which of the original creative team, including director Barry Sonnenfeld, will be involved this time around.
