Jessica Chastain May Go Interstellar
She's in talks for Chris Nolan's film

It would appear that Christopher Nolan is a man with a mission. No, not just the mysterious mission that lies at the heart of his latest movie, Interstellar. It’s a quest to gather the best cast possible, one helped by entering talks with Zero Dark Thirty’s Jessica Chastain.

Little – naturally – is known about who or what Chastain will play in the film, but if she makes a deal, she’ll be the third lead alongside Matthew McConaughey and recent Dark Knight Rises veteran Anne Hathaway.

Interstellar’s story was originally birthed when Steven Spielberg became interested in the wormhole theories of Caltech physicist Kip S Thorne. Using the scientist’s brain as a resource, Spielberg hired Jonah Nolan to write a script that apparently features both time travel and a space mission (we’re still sort of hoping the TARDIS turns up at some point).

Then Spielberg departed to concentrate on Lincoln and Robopocalypse (the latter of which is now stuck in limbo while the director focuses on another project instead) and Christopher Nolan came aboard, blending an original idea with what his younger brother had already written.

Now, with McConaughey, Hathaway and potentially Chastain aboard, Nolan will kick off shooting later this year (with cinematographer Hoyte Van Hoytema replacing Wally Pfister, who is a little busy) and Interstellar should be with us on November 7, 2014. Unless they somehow manage to create a wormhole and end up somewhere else in space and time, in which case the film is already in cinemas after arriving yesterweek.

Chastain is part of twin film project The Disappearance Of Eleanor Rigby: His and The Disappearance Of Eleanor Rigby: Hers and is shooting Miss Julie with Colin Farrell. She’s also scheduled to be part of Guillermo del Toro’s Crimson Peak cast.

This just keeps getting better and better!
One of the things I love about Nolan's films is the cast, and it seems that INTERSTELLAR will have another excellent choice of actors and actresses. I also want to inform you that Sir Michael Caine will be reuniting with Nolan for the sixth time in a row (which I have no problem with at all). I except more cast members will be announced in the coming weeks. Last, but not least, Hoyte Van Hoytema being the cinematographer on INTERSTELLAR is another reason to be excited about this movie, giving hi More
