New Red 2 Trailer Drives In
Now with added Anthony Hopkins

Life doesn’t seem to be getting any easier for Bruce Willis’ Frank Moses in Red 2. Though he’s trying to be really, properly retired and enjoy domestic bliss with Sarah Ross (Mary-Louise Parker), he’s suddenly thrown back into an adventure involving a stolen bomb. Check out the new trailer, courtesy of Yahoo.

After the first film made a decent return for Summit back in 2010, the sequel naturally returns all the surviving characters, including John Malkovich’s twitchy, paranoid Marvin Boggs and Helen Mirren’s ice cold former MI6 agent Victoria (who this time could be causing trouble for Frank, since she’s accepted a mission to take him out).

The roster is boosted with Anthony Hopkins playing the criminally insane (but really rather jovial) genius who designed the big bomb in the first place and Byung-hun Lee as an assassin who is looking to track Frank down.

Cue lots of Willis looking exasperated or firing a gun, or firing a gun while looking exasperated, explosions, bullets everywhere, Mirren proving once again that she’s a tough nut and even some complications for Frank and Sarah’s relationship in the form of Miranda Wood (Catherine Zeta-Jones), a lethal ex-girlfriend Frank seeks out for help.

With Dean Parisot taking over directorial duties, Red 2 arrives in our cinemas on August 2. To find out more about the movie, check out the latest issue of Empire for our On Location piece. It’s in the shops and on the iPad now.

Better RED Than Dead
I watched Red last night actually. That's a little gem of a movie, it's funny, clever and the cast is great with surprising chemistry between Bruce Willis & John Malkovich and Malkovich and Mary-Louise Parker showing unexpected comedic skills. Anthony Hopkins is getting very old and he's does seem to be hamming it up here. Has Catherine Zeta-Jones had some work done on her face? She's still a good-looking woman. Looking forward to this. Red2
This looks as much fun as the original, Hopkins looks great and Malkovich is comedy genius. More

Did she beat up David Bowie???
Towards the end of the trailer? I could be quite wrong, it's just it sounded like him and that's his hair... More
