First Full Star Trek Into Darkness Clip
Kirk, wind and fire...

Star Trek Into Darkness

As with Iron Man 3, we’re reaching the point in the Star Trek Into Darkness promo period where the trailers, posters and photos subside and are replaced by clips from the movie. AOL offers the first. While it comes from very early in the film, those wishing to stay pure can skip it, though spoilers are minimal.

You’ll undoubtedly know by now that Into Darkness finds Captain Kirk (Chris Pine) and the crew of the Enterprise plunged (sometimes literally, given what happens above) into their most dangerous mission yet.

When a threat emerges from the heart of the Federation, Kirk throws himself into a crusade to take down John Harrison (Benedict Cumberbatch), a quest that will endanger everyone and everything he cares about.

This first footage shows that the blend of action, humour and emotion remains the same for the sequel, despite the danger level rising and the crew becoming more of a well-oiled, rule-breaking machine.

Sadly for the Cumberbatch fans there’s nothing of him in this clip, but haven’t you had enough of him in all the trailers so far? No? Suit yerselves. The film is out on May 9. Take a gander at the most recent trailer below for another Cumberbatch fix.

Too much
Its like every week theres a new clip from the movie, im sick of studios giving away so much all the time, even if I try to avoid trailers. I went to see Oblivion and it had all the major trailers beforehand spoil everything. Just because a trailer doesnt have the final twist doesnt mean it doesnt give away all the best action scenes, punch lines etc etc. More
