Thor: The Dark World Gets A Poster
Thunder! Lightning! Um, snow!

You may not have seen this coming, but the first poster for the Thor sequel, namely Thor: The Dark World, features a big fella man with long hair holding a hammer. Also, lightning! And, um, snow!

Chances are you're keen to see a trailer now, and the good news is that it's coming in a week. The bad news is that it's coming in a week and not, say, in a couple of days. Or, preferably, tomorrow.

Set one year after Avengers, the Thor-quel will see Asgard battered by war after invasion by the rag-tag Marauders - only for a worse threat to turn up in the form of Malekith (Christopher Ecclestone) and his Dark Elves, who are out for vengeance against the whole realm of Asgard because of an ancient grudge.

Says producer Craig Kyle, "Like in Indiana Jones, while there's high stakes and high threat and high danger, there's always fun. It's a very complicated blend. Thor is, until Guardians Of The Galaxy hits, by far our most wild, fringe Marvel piece. But that's why it's the Marvel Universe and not Marvel Earth!"

Thor: The Dark World hits cinemas on October 30, just in time to inspire a million Halloween costumes. Shotgun going as a big hammer and/or Chris "I.T. Crowd" O'Dowd's character...

I liked Thor - not liking this poster. Looks like a blatant screen-grab from the movie and the they've just photo-shopped the crap out of it. Looks cheap. Must do better marvel! More

L: Gumba23 I may be wrong here, shouldn't the name of the main villain of the film be somewhere on there too? Or is Chris Ecclestone just not enough of a box-office-draw? esides the incredibly average looking teaser artwork, this is what I am thinking too. Are there surely not other, more central cast members? More
