Two New Wolverine Posters Scream In
Now with added motion poster action

26 March 2013  |  Written by Ali Plumb  |  Source: Coming Soon

submit to reddit

The previous The Wolverine poster that we've seen was absolutely stunning/beautiful/insert-your-own-hyperbole here. It was a ink-based arty number, and very Japanese indeed. Take a look at it below and remind yourself of its brilliance.

The latest poster, meanwhile, is less arty, but MUCH MORE ANGRY. Topless and bellowing at the world - perhaps it's cold - it's a clear indication that Logan's trip to Japan isn't going to be all karaoke and intriguing sushi adventures.

Then there's yet another poster for The Wolverine, debuted on Coming Soon, which isn't quite so good. Chock-full of ninjas, it's still leaning heavily on the oriental influences, but it's not, it's fair to say, on the same level as the other two.

Update: a motion version of the screaming-topless-in-the-steets-of-Tokyo poster has also been released, and you can check it out below. Like the previous motion poster for The Wolverine, it also involves the rain. Hey, it's still motion, all right?

Eight new stills from The Wolverine also landed today, making March 25 an important date in his never-ending diary. Not quite as important as the film's UK release date, of course - which is July 25, fact fans - and whenever Fox get round to showing the world a teaser trailer...

RE:
L: jazzyjules63 Yeah I agree. The second one is a Dark Knight rip-off and the ninja one is ridiculously bad. The Photoshop work is decidedly rubbish. How did anyone think it was a good idea to release these? guess the only good thing that could possibly come out of this is an Empire Movie Poster contest with the theme being a screaming Wolverine inserted into random movie posters. The original poster continues to be my favorite of the bunch. It was what made me initially excited, and to prepare, I have been watching X-Men and Origins, with Blockbuster @Home from DISH. Updating my queue quickly is really great with my busy work shift at DISH. I love that I can come home after a long day and relax, while refreshing on the details of Logan’s story leading to this film. More

Back tracking
The First Poster was the only decent one and the only one worth putting on your wall. The 2nd indeed looks too much like a Dark Knight poster the colour palate and mood too close to the Cape Crusader's last two um crusades... The last is some what shocking like some artist's 5yo got a hold of their computer. So few good posters and there's the "in 3D" thing. I thought this was going to be a 2D movie. Disappointed much. The one on the street looks like they just removed Batman and badly cut and pasted Wolverine in. More

That ninja one is a joke right? A monkey could do a better job in Paint. More
