Harrison Ford Comments On Solo's Return
'I think it's going to happen'

20 March 2013  |  Written by James White  |  Source: WGN9 (Via Star Wars Report)

As we crawl ever closer to the time when all the current Star Wars rumours will either be revealed as solid truth or fervent speculation, it seems all but assured that Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher and Mark Hamill will be returning in some capacity to that galaxy far, far away. Ford, out promoting his latest film, Jackie Robinson biopic 42, was asked to comment on the likelihood of the reunion. Check out his thoughts below.

Just in case the video doesn’t work for whatever reason, Ford, who has already said he's "open" to the idea, was typically cagey when questioned directly about coming back to the franchise. “I think it’s almost true, I’m looking forward to it,” he told Chicago local news outlet WGN 9. “It’s not in the bag yet, but I think it’s happening.”

So yes… While George Lucas can let all sorts of cats out of bags, clearly things are still in negotiation and no one is making official pronouncements until the ink is dry on the contracts, it’s just one more step towards Han Solo being grouchy on screen.

When not jetting off to promote his recent work or talking to politicians, Ford has been busy on the set of Anchorman: The Legend Continues, where he’s playing an old school newsman. That performance will be on our screens on December 20. Before that, he'll be seen in Ender's Game, which lands on October 25.

Siddharth
I don't expect any Star Wars casting news till Star Trek Into Darkness has released. Once the promotion and release has released probably this summer will get to know more about Star Wars 7. Exciting times! More

RE: Oh boy...
sort of getting used to it now but it still feels abit strange this is happening - this time last year whod have thought there would be a Star Wars VII going to be made with Ford and the original cast, and JJA directing its pretty much the holy grail in terms of movies you could want to be made (previous would probably be Indy 4 but then that one was always on the cards from about 1994). Oh boy...
It could be cool, don't get me wrong. But who wants to see Han Solo that age? There are certain heroic characters who could still work really well when shown at an old age (Bruce Wayne springs immediately to mind) but Han Solo? More
