The Rock Talks Fast & Furious Spin-Off
A Luke Hobbs movie after Fast Six?

19 March 2013  |  Written by Ali Plumb  |  Source: Exclusive

Dwayne Johnson to some, The Rock to others, The Artist Formerly Known As The Brahma Bull is turning into a bit of an institution thanks to his fine work as "franchise viagra" for the Fast And The Furious and G.I. Joe franchises. So perhaps it should come as no surprise that his Fast Five character, Luke Hobbs, is set for a spin-off movie - something The Rock and his team are looking to do before Fast & Furious 7 comes along.

Talking to Empire at the G.I. Joe: Retaliation junket yesterday - expect the full interview next week - he suggested a new order for the series as it currently stands, with the no-nonsense lawman Hobbs set to get his own cinematic crack of the whip (ideally with new Fast & Furious 6 police partner Gina "Haywire" Carano in tow) before Fast & Furious 7 comes to town.

"Possibly" is definitely the word of the day there, but still - it's a very interesting titbit indeed. As for what to expect from a Luke Hobbs spin-off movie, of course that's not been decided yet, which means it's time for you to conjecture to your heart's content. Does he break bad and become a car thief too? Is there an even bigger villain for him to hunt down after Fast Six's Owen Shaw (as played by Luke Evans)? What does this mean for these spoilery rumours currently kicking about the internet?

Perhaps more importantly, what should the spin-off be called? Have a gander at this poll below and let us know.

What should the Fast And The Furious Luke Hobbs spin-off be called?
Fast & Furious: Luke Hobbs
Fast & Furious: Special Hobbs
Fast & Furious: Calvin And Hobbs
Fast 6.5
6.5 Fast 6.5 Furious
The Luke And The Hobbs
Fast Hand Luke
Fast & Furious: Hobbnail Boots To Asses

Ever since His Cookingness tweeted the pic him and Gina, I've thought the two of them deserved a spin off. More

Perhaps more importantly
Perhaps more importanly why would you have a spin off, its just gonna be another action movie thats gonna crash and burn...Fast and Furious is as big as it is because of Vin and Paul and the whole gang, and the cars and the hor girls, otherwise it will just be really blant and unappealing. Sometimes its like that South Park episode when awesomo pitches to studios http://cdn.fd.uproxx.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/12/Jac k.jpg More
