Alan Partridge: Alpha Papa Gets A Teaser Alan Partridge: The Movie gets a name 15 March 2013 | Written by Ali Plumb | Source: Alan Partridge's YouTube Channel
How do you solve a problem like naming the long-awaited Alan Partridge movie? If this ever-so-meta chitchat between North Norfolk Digital's finest is anything to go by, with careful deliberation. The result: Alan Partridge: Alpha Papa. Write that down in your copybooks... now.
As anyone who knows their military call signs will tell you, Alpha Papa is a quick and easy way of saying "A" and "P" whilst looking a bit cooler than normal. This sort of action terminology will be handy for the broadcasting veteran over the course of the film, as it sees Mr. Papa Partridge in a hostage situation only he can diffuse. Sure, Alpha Papa's not quite 007, but it'll have to do.
What's your favourite alternate title - that Alan also suggests, that is? Let us know in the comment box below.
Yesterday we got a sneak peek into Alan's luxury office shed - complete with model Range Rover - and with any luck more stills will land over the next few weeks.
Alan Partridge: Alpha Papa is set for a August 7 release date. For more details on the man who brought the world the phrase "Liquid football!", be sure to check out upcoming issues of Empire.

I'm confused, is the film about the making of an AP film or has this clip been made only for the trailer?
his is a teaser, its meant to represent what the films about, the clip has only been made for the teaser, what's in the clip won't be in the actual film itself. More

RE: JURASSIC PARK!!!
Very flat and not remotely funny but I will keep an eye out for the film.
Though,as The Watcher pointed out,it seemed more Coogan than Partridge. But early days.
edit: I do worry slightly when the BBC are involved. More

RE: JURASSIC PARK!!!
Found that quite hilarious for a teaser. I'm expecting big things of AP. More

Came across more Coogan than Partridge...and I didn't like it.
It was as if Steve was trying to impress his American chum's by entertaining some notion of cool about Partridge...Alan has never been cool.
I've always felt unsure about the idea of a movie about Alan, and beginning to think this film could ruin the character we love. More

I'll be honest. It's a bit underwhelming. Plus, I'm sad to see this is the Alan Partridge of the 'Fosters' era and not the Alan Partridge we've come to love from his 'I'm Alan Partridge' days. More
