Reinhold On For Beverly Hills Cop Series
Billy Rosewood is back

Good news for anyone who has been following the development of the Beverly Hills Cop TV pilot that has been bubbling away under the command of The Shield’s creator Shawn Ryan: Billy Rosewood is back back back! Yes, Judge Reinhold has been cast for a guest appearance.

Ryan and Eddie Murphy cooked up the concept for the show, which will pick up the characters from the film series, with Murphy’s Axel Foley now an experienced senior detective watching his son Aaron (Brandon T Jackson) bring the family charm to taking down wrongdoers among the rich and famous.

Reinhold’s Rosewood will working with the city, and plays a key role in bringing Aaron into the precinct. Also aboard are Christine Lahti, David Denman, Sheila Vand and Kevin Pollack.

But before you get too giddy, be aware: this thing is still just at the pilot stage. US network CBS will still have to decide whether it actually goes to series based on this first episode. We’re hoping for good things here. With Ryan and Murphy involved, it should at least be better than Beverly Hills Cop 3...

RE: Lamerly Hills Lame
I don't have high hopes. I've heard The Shield was great but it was a cop drama. BHC was a cop comedy and one of the major flaws of 3 is that it tried to be too serious. More

Lamerly Hills Lame
This is going to be soooooooooooo Lame! McClanes son. Lame. Indiana Jones son. Lame. Foleys son taking over from dad? I don't know if I will even bother as the score cards are pointing to: Lame. More

Could be good
'The Shield' is still one of the best TV Series' i've ever seen so there's potential here. Need to keep Murphy and Reinhold as bit-parts though - they just aren't the same people they were 30yrs ago. More
