Star Trek Into Darkness Motion Poster
John Harrison isn't best pleased...

Benedict Cumberbatch might have been a human-shaped beam of sunshine in our Star Trek Into Darkness IMAX footage interview, but as John Harrison in the latest Star Trek Into Darkness motion poster, he's not a happy bunny in the slightest.

Affecting his darkest, evillest tones, he underlines just how orellius-shaped things are going to get for Kirk and co., with the now well-known image from the original teaser poster hoving into view as his forboding words forbode their way around your ear canal.

The plot - as with many a J.J. Abrams' production - remains carefully under wraps, but we do know that Into Darkness will see Earth and Starfleet under attack and our heroes propelled into an epic chess game of life and death. Love will be challenged. Friendships will be torn apart. And sacrifices must be made for the only family Kirk has left: his crew. You can bet the odds will be against him and the situation will be grim.

Just as an extra treat, there's also a production featurette up on YouTube and now, thanks to the magic of embedding technology, here on this EmpireOnline news story:

With Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Zoe Saldana, Simon Pegg, Anton Yelchin, John Cho, Alice Eve, Peter Weller, Bruce Greenwood, Nazneen Contractor and Noel Clarke among the cast, Star Trek Into Darkness lands in UK cinemas on May 17. It'll launch Stateside on May 15, however...
