First Look At Josh Brolin In Sin City 2
Robert Rodriguez shares some stills

18 February 2013  |  Written by James White  |  Source: Robert Rodriguez (Via Collider)

Robert Rodriguez is busy making Sin City: A Dame To Kill For alongside Frank Miller. But that isn’t stopping the multi-tasking director from hitting Twitter (where he was spotted by the gang at Collider) to give us a glimpse behind the scenes of the new film. This weekend, for example, he offered the first look at Josh Brolin as Dwight.

Don’t expect this to be the exact final look for the film, though. While it is taken from actual footage, the rain and other effects are simply part of a test Rodriguez has crafted to show his actors the tone of the movie.

Rodriguez also tweeted a shot of him directing Brolin behind the scenes, which is being shot much the same way as the first Sin City, with lots of green screen and few props.

A Dame To Kill For follows another batch of stories set in Miller’s neo-noir city, with Brolin’s younger version of Dwight tangled up in a tale about a femme fatale (Eva Green) and the likes of Marv (Mickey Rourke), Hartigan (Bruce Willis) and Nancy (Jessica Alba) all back for more. Clearly the cast and crew are having a blast making this one, and we can expect a similar look and feel for the denizens of the dark streets. It’ll hit US cinemas on October 4 and our screens on a date still to be revealed.
