See Olly Moss' 85 Years Of Oscar Poster
An amazing celebration of the winners

You already know that we’re big fans of genius artist Olly Moss round Empire way. So we’re thrilled to learn that he’s just revealed his latest, biggest job yet, working with the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences to craft a poster celebrating 85 years of the Oscars.

Take a closer look below using the zoom tool on the thumbnail at the bottom.

Click here for a hi-res version of the poster on Olly Moss' site.

Moss’ challenging brief was to create an image that featured Best Picture winner through the years from 1927 to last year in his inimitable, minimalist style. And… well, you can see the result. It’s a real achievement.

Frankly, this has us wishing Moss was called upon to design more of the Academy’s imagery, but we’ll take what we can get for now.

So, without cheating and looking up the answers online, how many can you figure out? This might be of assistance if you get stuck.

In case you forgot, the Oscars will be handed out on Sunday February 24. Team Empire will be providing full coverage, and Sky Movies is showing the ceremony on its Sky Movies HD Oscars channel.

No they're right
The Hurt Locker did win in 2010 but it was a 2009 film. The awards aren't for the films that came out in that year. It's the previous year. Same with the others. King's Speech was a 2010 film, The Artist was a 2011 film, Slumdog was an 2008 film More
