Helen Mirren In Monsters University
Update: With a new Dean's message

As if the trailer and character announcement weren't enough, this week now brings us a promotional message from the Monsters University Dean Hardscrabble, aka Helen Mirren, via the film's YouTube channel. Check it out here.

...

First Helen Mirren goes and gets pink hair; now it turns out she's voicing a character in a cartoon. Maybe she really is aging backwards and that explains how good she looks. In any case the Oscar-winning star will be voicing Dean Hardscrabble of Monsters University, and you can see her in action in the new UK trailer below.

This gives us a bit more info about the film, which has young Mike Wazowski (Billy Crystal) being assigned a college room shared with James P. Sullivan (John Goodman) as both compete to become Scarers worthy of the name. Things, however, do not go smoothly, and they fall in with some of the oddballs - or, given the population of Monstropolis, odder-balls - you see above.

Monsters University has Dan Scanlon directing and also stars Steve Buscemi, David Spade, Dave Foley, Michael McKean and no doubt more characters to be announced soon.
