Jane Levy Is In A Dark Place
For a new horror film

Jane Levy

Clearly dealing with all manner of crazed, horrific behaviour for the remake of Evil Dead has not put Jane Levy off committing to horror films. She’s now signed on to star in a new tale of terror, In A Dark Place.

Bharat Nalluri, who last directed Miss Pettigrew Lives For A Day (and who worked on several TV shows including Spooks, Torchwood and Hustle), is calling the shots on the film.

Levy will play a young American woman who moves to England to take the job of governess for a wealthy family. Nothing so terrible in that, you might think. But it turns out that the charge isn’t a regular child, but a porcelain doll that everyone in the house treats as a real son.

Still, no cleaning up or feeding involved, right? Easy, yes? Not so much, because when the family leaves for a holiday, it appears the doll might actually be haunted…

Levy, who spends most of her time at the moment working on rather good US sitcom Suburgatory, will be getting her lungs back in shape for plenty of screaming this May. Evil Dead, meanwhile, arrives here on April 19.
