World War Z Superbowl Ad Runs Online
China's gone dark...

31 January 2013  |  Written by James White

Unlike Marvel, which knows it can premiere a mere snippet of Iron Man 3 Super Bowl teaser action and still be confident we’ll be back for more, Paramount has more to prove with the adaptation of Max Brooks’ zombie novel World War Z. That  might explain why the studio has put the full spot online days before the game itself on Sunday.

World War Z finds Brad Pitt as Gerry Lane, a UN employee called upon when the world is nearly swallowed by a rising tide of the undead.

As society is shaken to its core, something must be done about the zombie menace before human civilization collapses completely.

The TV spot is really mostly a stripped-down version of the teaser that has already been online (which you can watch below), but there are a few more little nuggets of footage.

With Marc Forster directing and Matthew Fox, David Morse, Mireille Enos and James Badge Dale in the cast, World War Z invades on June 21.

Its a movie, not the book
I don't care if it is faithful to the book. If I want to read that, I will read it. I am just concerned with the quality of the film and if it will stand up as a piece of work on its own, and have to say, from the trailers it looks excellent. More

Not Read the Book
but I do like the look of this. Looks intense and I like the feel you get for the characters. The scenes with zombies and the sheer number of them seem crazy. More

Looks so disappointing. Far from Pitt's promise of a "faithful adaptation". More
