The 2013 Screen Actors Guild awards were handed out on Sunday night, and there were few surprises. Les Miserables' Anne Hathaway scored another trophy (Female In A Supporting Role) for what must be a groaning mantelpiece by now, and Silver Linings Playbook's Jennifer Lawrence took Female Actor In A Leading Role. The big prize for Male Actor In A Leading Role went to Lincoln’s Daniel Day-Lewis, while Tommy Lee Jones got Male Actor In A Supporting Role. He wasn’t at the ceremony itself, but chose to be grumpy elsewhere. If there was a shocker on the film front, it was Argo snagging Motion Picture Ensemble. In TV, Alec Baldwin snagged a seventh Male Actor In A Comedy Series award as 30 Rock prepared to screen its final episode in the States this coming week. Best line of the night went to Tina Fey, who won Female Actor In A Comedy Series and thanked her friend Amy Poehler, saying, “I’ve known you since you were pregnant with Lena Dunham.” And though he’s won plenty of awards for the show, it was somewhat of a surprise - a pleasant one - to see Bryan Cranston taking the Male Actor In A Drama Series prize for Breaking Bad over awards behemoth Damian Lewis for Homeland. Stunt fans will be delighted to learn that Skyfall took the Film Stunt Ensemble award, while Game Of Thrones walked away with the TV Stunt Ensemble gong after burning the other contenders with wildfire.
