Latest Riddick Picture Online
Riddick in the rain...

22 January 2013  |  Written by James White  |  Source: Vin Diesel

Though the film itself is set to hit US cinemas on September 6, there has so far been precious little promotion for Riddick. At least, not through official studio channels. But the one-man PR machine that is Vin Diesel is continuing his efforts via his Facebook page to keep the word of mouth buzz up, and has released a new still from the film, which you can check out above.

Riddick, which picks up the hard nut Furyan’s story after The Chronicles Of Riddick, finds him left for dead on a sun-scorched planet that appears all but lifeless.

When he comes under attack by vicious alien predators, he realises that the only way he’ll survive and escape is to activate an emergency beacon. But the signal brings in mercenaries who are bounty hunting Riddick himself - and these are no ordinary hunters.

Now Richard B. Riddick finds himself in another desperate fight for survival, fending off dangerous animals, lethal fighters and a storm on the horizon that could destroy everyone. The latest image points to the planet (assuming he’s still on the same one) boasting a very changeable climate indeed, if all that rain is anything to go by. Hope he’s bought a pack-a-mac.

As mentioned, Riddick arrives across the pond on September 6. There’s no sign of a UK date just yet.

Old school
I'm looking forward to Riddick. It looks like it it's going to bring back some old school action like the the original 2 films. Old school now though is 90s and early 2000s film in my opinion. The plot seems a mix of pitch black and chronicles which has got me hyped up. Vin Diesel your the man. More
