Robin Williams Will Walk The Boulevard
For director Dito Montiel

10 January 2013  |  Written by James White  |  Source: Variety

Though his latest film – Empire State – is chugging through post-production, A Guide To Recognizing Your Saints director Dito Montiel already has his eyes on the prize. And by prize, we of course mean a future project, with Robin Williams and Roberto Aguire set to star in Boulevard.

Written by Douglas Soesbe, the film will find Williams as a man devoted to his wife, but stifled by the lack of passion in the relationship.

It’s only when he runs into a guarded young guy (newcomer Aguire) that his viewpoint changes and he has to face the secrets he’s buried deep. What those secrets actually are remains a mystery, though since this is a serious drama, we doubt he’ll have a hidden side as a giant rabbit.

Williams has been picking up jobs all over at the moment. He’s in a variety of films including indie comedy drama The Angriest Man In Brooklyn, rom-com The Big Wedding and Lee Daniels’ historical pic The Butler.

Montiel, meanwhile, is waiting to learn when Empire State (which boasts Liam Hemsworth and Dwayne Johnson in the lead roles) will hit screens. It’s expected to arrive later this year.
