Welcome To The Punch Poster Lands
New artwork for the crime drama

04 January 2013  |  Written by Helen O'Hara  |  Source: Exclusive

It feels like Welcome To The Punch has been on the verge of arriving on screens for aaages, but its release date is at last drawing near. And here, at last, is a new poster for the movie, which follows the trailer in suggesting that this will be a London crime drama that goes for "cool" rather than "grimy".

The film stars James McAvoy as Max Lewinsky, a cop still smarting from his inability to catch Mark Strong's robber, Jason Sternwood, when the latter's son is wounded and ends up in hospital. Lewinsky sees this as a chance to catch Sternwood at last - but his investigation reveals that there may be more going on than he first thought, and he may have to team up with Sternwood to discover the real bad guys at work. Tension!

The film's directed by Shifty's Eran Creevy, and also stars Peter Mullan, Daniel Mays, David Morrissey, Andrea Riseborough, Johnny Harris and Steve Oram. Welcome To The Punch hits UK cinemas on March 15.

A Quibble about names. . .
A high octane Michael Mann style action packed thriller but British! AMAZING! The title is pants though and why has the hero have an American sounding name and to top it off the same moniker as the infamous Monica Lewinsky? More
