Will Ferrell Wants To Get Hard
Kevin Hart will help

09 December 2012  |  Written by James White  |  Source: Deadline

Will Ferrell, Kevin Hart

Stop sniggering! The headline does not mean that the star of Anchorman is now turning to a career in porn. Or that the man who most recently featured in Think Like A Man and The Five-Year Engagement has taken a job as a fluffer. Nope, Will Ferrell is attached to star in comedy Get Hard along with Kevin Hart.

Warner Bros. is looking to pick up the package deal, which includes a script pitch from Ian Roberts and Jay Martel, one that will be developed for the two stars.

Get Hard would see Ferrell as a nerdy investment bank manager who is screwed over by a rich client and is framed for massive fraud. When he can’t wriggle out of the unfair charges, he decides to hire the streetwise guy normally found washing his car (Hart) to train him up to be tough before he reports to prison in a month.

It sounds like it could be a funny little comedy, particularly given the pairing of Ferrell and Hart. But we’ll have to wait and see how it looks assuming it makes it out of development.

Ferrell, of course, is busy co-writing and getting ready to slap on the ‘tache to play Ron Burgundy in the Anchorman sequel. Hart has just shot rom-com remake About Last Night and will show up in Seth Rogen’s The End Of The World.
