Kristen Wiig Could Join Anchorman 2
Might Brick find love... Beyond lamp?

05 December 2012  |  Written by James White  |  Source: The Wrap

Bridesmaids

As Adam McKay and Will Ferrell labour over the script for the Anchorman sequel, the rumours have begun to fly about who will be called up to co-star along with Ferrell, Paul Rudd, Steve Carell, David Koechner and Christina Applegate. McKay has talked about wanting to tap the deep well of talented comedy types they know and love, and it appears they have their eye on one already, with word that Kristen Wiig is being seriously considered.

Bear in mind here that according to The Wrap, all discussions about casting are still in the early stages. Still, we could definitely see Wiig slotting into that mad world, especially since she’s apparently being mooted to play a love interest for Carell’s Brick Tamland. That means Brick might finally get someone to RSVP to the party! The party with the pants. The pants party.

Things are still bubbling away over in Anchor-land, as McKay and Ferrell aim towards a February start and October release in the US. Anchorman: The Legend Continues (as it is currently known) will follow Ron Burgundy and co as the news business shifts rapidly around them once more. You already know we can’t wait for this one. Take a look at the teaser below.

Wiig :(
I really hope this doesn't happen, like many comics she goes too far - in short scenes she can be okay but as many of the films she's in, Bridesmaids being the biggest offender, she is just so unbearable. More
