First Look: Ashton Kutcher As Steve Jobs
As Sundance announces 2013 premieres

03 December 2012  |  Written by James White  |  Source: Sundance

The Sundance Film Festival has launched its 2013 premieres with this first look at Ashton Kutcher as Steve Jobs in jOBS , Joshua Michael Stern's biopic of the designer, computer whizz, business guru and New Balance fan.

Ashton Kutcher as Steve Jobs

Early Steve Jobs

We’ve had the competition announcement. And the Spotlight, Park City At Midnight and New Frontier Titles released, and this debut still comes as the out-of-competition premieres are announced by the Sundance team. Among them will be movies from Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Descendants writers Nat Faxon and Jim Rash and Shia LaBeouf’s latest, The Necessary Death Of Charlie Countryman, which released a pic via Collider earlier today that you can see above.

It’s a typically eclectic and honestly exciting blend of films, including jOBS, the film about the Apple man’s early career starring Kutcher, Michael Winterbottom’s Paul Raymond film, now called The Look Of Love, and Amanda Seyfried in Lovelace.

And that’s just the tip of the cine-berg. Gordon-Levitt will see Don Jon’s Addiction, his directorial debut, screen for audiences and Rash and Faxon have The Way, Way Back.

Plus Stoker, Before Midnight and a host of others will all get their launch, along with a batch of documentaries. Take a look at the full list over at the Sundance site.

“The films in the Premieres and Documentary Premieres sections offer compelling portraits of worlds and people ranging from the beloved to the misunderstood to the unknown,” says director of programming Trevor Groth. “Expertly crafted by some of the most esteemed filmmakers in the world these films have the power to delight audiences at the Festival and impact our culture at large.”

Sundance 2013 runs between January 17 and 27 next year. Sundance London, meanwhile, will arrive on April 25 at the O2.

It's an issue with eg Firefox. If you use rollback to an earlier version it works - something around 9.01. Firefox were told this had happened back in Feb, I think, when an update screwed a lot of forums but they've not bothered to correct it. There are issues with versions of IE as well. More

L: Dannybohy Another movie about a billionaire asshole who allegedly screw people on their rise to the top. I thought the Social Network was proof enough that these kinds of movies are dull as dish water. he Social Network was an amazing piece of film, with great script, directing, acting and soundtrack. Failed comparison. L: elab49 In what way? If you're seeing code rather than pics it's your browser, not Empire. aah, I didn't know that, thought something wasn't working More

L: chicane09 I'm glad they are making this film, I love a good yarn about theft and plagiarism. I hope they mention about how they patent things they didn't even invent, then proceed to sue people for "copying" them. Or maybe about flooding the market with overpriced products. ahaha, yeah! I doubt they'll do that though. By the way, Steve Jobs in his 20s looks like a totally different guy than the guy on Steve Jobs' biography book. I don't see Kutcher as Jobs in his 60's. More

Good job they didn't do a film about Dennis Ritchie (the man who invented C+ programming) who died the same month, not like he contributed anything of importance. We would only have to learn to read binary without him. More
