Trailer Reveals The Mind Of Charles Swan
Charlie Sheen finds reality overrated

03 December 2012  |  Written by Owen Williams

There have been some stills and a poster in recent weeks, and finally now here's the first full trailer for A Glimpse Inside The Mind Of Charles Swan III

It's Roman Coppola's first film for a decade, and as you'd expect from a frequent Wes Anderson collaborator, it does seem to have a touch of the Andersons about it. While everyone's denying that it's the reason he was cast, the film looks undeniably to be trading on Charlie Sheen's real-life shenanigans of recent times.

It looks to be really good fun too, with an ace  (and again, somewhat Anderson-centric) cast including Bill Murray and Jason Schwartzman appearing in various guises depending on where in Swan's mind we are. Locations in his cranium seem to include iconic Hollywood genres like the Western and the gangster movie, which means we get to see Murray on a horse dressed as John Wayne in The Searchers, and doing some damage in period Chigaco. Hooray!

The plot centres on Sheen's Charles Swan, naturally enough: a playboy left broken-hearted when the love of his life ditches him thanks to his hard-partying ways, and because she didn't want to be just another girl in the drawer. That last bit makes sense when you've seen the trailer... but not to Schwartzman.

Also along for the ride are Aubrey Plaza and Mary Elizabeth Winstead, who, in at least one reality, make up the SSBB: the Secret Society of Ball Breakers. Tsk, that Sheen Swan and his women, eh? A Glimpse Inisde The Mind Of Charles Swan III is out in the US in February, but we don't have a date in the UK yet.
