Following on from October 30’s big announcement that George Lucas would be handing over the Star Wars franchise to Disney and giving the keys to Lucasfilm to Kathleen Kennedy, the official Star Wars site has been putting up videos of a talk between Lucas and Kennedy about the move. Have a look at the third one above.
This episode focuses on the pair discussing their past working relationship and the surprise that Kennedy felt when Lucas asked her to take over the company now that he’s really ready to retire.
So don’t go looking for loads of subtle hints about who might be directing the next Star Wars film or any casting. Though if you need a quick guide to keeping track of the director chatter, you should check out our feature on the subject.
Meanwhile, if you’ve yet to scope out the other two videos, you can find them below. Star Wars: Episode VII is currently targeted for a 2015 release, with Toy Story 3’s Michael Arndt on script duties and apparently the directing shortlist down to two names.
