Poots Asks Are We Officially Dating?
Zac Efron should know

05 November 2012  |  Written by James White  |  Source: Deadline

Amanda Poots, Zac Efron

With Zac Efron leading the cast, writer-director Tom Gormicon is busy gathering the rest of the ensemble for rom-com Are We Officially Dating? even as the producers tout the rights at this year’s American Film Market. Securing the services of Imogen Poots will certainly help matters.

Plunging into the murky depths of modern-day love, romance and casual flings, Dating follows three male friends in New York (including Efron) who pledge to stay single.

Trouble is, that’s the same moment that they all start to fall in love. No information has been released about Poots’ character, but the fact that she’s starring opposite Efron makes us think they’ll be paired up. True Blood’s Deborah Ann Woll is also aboard, playing the ex-wife of one of the three blokes.

With his cast coming together Gormicon is set to kick off shooting this month in the Big Apple, though there’s a chance Superstorm Sandy may have affected things.

Poots is in demand at the moment: she’s also on for DreamWorks adaptation of the Need For Speed game series, which will see her star with Aaron Paul.

Wow. That's original.
Like, seriously, I'm blown away. This is an entirely new concept in romantic comedy, surely. More
