Edgar Wright's Ant-Man Gets Release Date
Mark November 6, 2015 in your diaries

A Disney/Marvel press release has revealed a few new details, including the release date, for Edgar Wright's Ant-Man: November 6, 2015. This means it'll be coming out in the same year as The Avengers 2 (May 1, 2015).

Elsewhere, Thor: The Dark World is confirmed for a 3D release, as is Iron Man 3. Other details are marginally less interesting, including the news of Phineas And Ferb's bump to 2014 and Saving Mr. Banks coming out on December 20, 2013.

It is eminently reassuring, however, that Edgar Wright's Ant-Man is still definitely, 100% happening, after what feels like eons of to-ing and fro-ing and that appetite-whetting test footage seen back at Comic-Con earlier in the year

All that's left to do now is to guess what the Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World director is going to do with the beloved size-changing superhero come 2015. Adapt a classic comic book run or go out on his own? And who should star as the titular hero? Let us know your guesswork in the comment box below.

Ant-Man will hit our cinemas screens (we've now learnt) on November 6, 2015. As for the rest of Marvel's slate, there's Iron Man 3 (May 3, 2013), Thor: The Dark World (November 8, 2013), Captain America: The Winter Soldier (April 4, 2014), Guardians Of The Galaxy (August 1, 2014) and as previously mentioned, The Avengers 2 (May 1, 2015).

I'm glad it's got a release date
While I'm a little bit disappointed that it won't be coming out in 2014 as I thought it might be, maybe it's a good thing because Edgar Wright is already shooting THE WORLD'S END and if he shot ANT-MAN back-to-back, he's gonna be exhausted. Plus the November 2015 release date will give Wright plenty of time to make ANT-MAN considering it will have alot of visual effects that need to be done. So this will be one of the films of 2015 that I'm looking forward to. More

RE: November 2015?
L: Nicky C Okay so call me in August 2015 (to put that into perspective, that's after the next World Cup, Olympics and UK General Election) and I'll give a sh*t then, yeah? Marvel p*ss me off with these announcements. They really do. Keeping things under wraps is exciting. This is not. the Olympics are 2016! More

Ant-man casting
I think Nathan fillion won't play ant man I bet he's star lord gardiden of the galaxy as he was in sliver and super. in the same thinking you have to think of who has worked with edger wright my bet paddy consindine was in hot fuzz and worlds end looks the part is a good actor but not so known that he'll cost that much More

I'm hoping it is all about Pym and not Lang
and that is set in the current movie period. More

AFTER the Avengers2?
I was expecting this to arrive pre-vengers2 so he could appear in that line-up... though I guess Hank Pym could be in Avengers2 as a scientist (mentioned already in Thor) and Scott Lang could appear as Ant-Man after people are intruiged by Pym's story... either way, frakin love Edgar Wright. More
