New Skyfall Clip Lands
We know you're gonna dig this

05 October 2012  |  Written by Phil de Semlyen  |  Source: Yahoo! Movies

It's Global Bond Day today (see our special podcast for details), which gives "00" fans 24 hours of pure Bond-iness to revel in. Some will be putting the finishing touches on boombox rocket launchers; others will be ordering in another batch of sharks for their secret lair. If, like us, you fancy celebrating in more serene style, try this awesome new Skyfall clip on for size.

Remember that bit we all loved in the first trailer? The classic Bond cufflink adjustment on the collapsing caboose? Well here it is, writ large in the context of Bond fighting a train with a digger.

We love everything about this - possibly Daniel Craig's most Roger Moore-y moment to date - and can't help thinking the mix of Old Bond wit and new Bond action beats bodes especially well for the movie. With any luck, the next scene involves a mini jet and a closing aircraft hanger.

Skyfall is out in the UK on October 26 - 20-odd more sleeps, folks - before heading to the States on November 9. You may have heard that it's got a new song, too.

BUt I dont wanna see anymore clips!
Cuz I can't resist watching them and then I feel all stupid cuz I know that'll be a surprise done away with when it comes to Oct 24th! Empire, I love you and your seeming devotion to all may favourites (Indy, Bond and Star Wars basically) but I beg you, NO MORE, NO MORE!!! More

YESSSS!!!!!
Get in! Awesome. Utterly nuts and just bigger, better and more bonkers than anything else. No longer can anyone say 'Yeah, but they just watched Bourne and copied it'. Bollocks to that! This is Bourne on steroids. With wit, fun, manic ideas and just loads of Bondian craziness. Just how Bond should be. Sam Mendes, if the rest of the action is this mental - yet gut thumpingly brutal, Skyfall is going to totally rock!!! More

I'm a long-time bond fan and while I usually look forward to the next Bond outing; I'm more psyched about Skyfall then any Bond movie for a very long time. I think Skyfall is going to hit the ball out of the park!

thank you, thank you
Thank you, thank you, Sam Mendes, for pointing Bond back to the right track after the shaky cam-Bourne-style Quantum of Solace. This clip convinces me that this is going to be the Bond movie everybody wanted after Casino Royale. And by the way folks - this is not Roger Moore, this is clearly still Daniel Craig and any comparison to that area has to be made very carefully. But yes, it has some humour in it, but even Dr No had that! More

I don't want a Roger Moore-y Bond. I want a Daniel Craig Bond. Referencing the old (and the very old) stuff is fine, but I'd rather see this new Bond forge his own path rather than just retread what the other fellers did. More
