Movie 43 Trailer Is Here
Halle Berry & more get rude

03 October 2012  |  Written by James White

Movie 43
released an initial batch of stills earlier this week. Now comes ts first, raunchy, Red Band trailer out online, which can be viewed above. Warning: not for anyone easily offended by poop jokes, penis gags and Naomi Watts calling her on-screen son “Fuckface”.

We pity the poor soul  entering the credits for this beast, which boasts 12 directors and stars, in alphabetical order (deep breath), Elizabeth Banks, Kristen Bell, Halle Berry, Leslie Bibb, Kate Bosworth, Gerard Butler, Bobby Cannavale, Kieran Culkin, Josh Duhamel, Anna Faris, Richard Gere, John Hodgman, Terrence Howard, Hugh Jackman, Johnny Knoxville, Justin Long, Stephen Merchant, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Chloë Grace Moretz, Chris Pratt, Liev Schreiber, Seann William Scott, Emma Stone, Jason Sudeikis, Uma Thurman, Naomi Watts, and Kate Winslet.

According to Peter Farrelly, who co-produced the whole thing with regular partner in crime Charlie Wessler, this beast was shot across four years, squeezed around the various performers’ other commitments. Which explains why comedy stalwarts such as Faris and Pratt rub shoulders with people more often found in awards dramas, including Winslet and Berry.

We’re promised a linked series of vignettes including Stone and Culkin as a former couple arguing about their relationship without realising they’re on a supermarket loudspeaker, Berry on a date with Merchant turning up the tension by challenging him to an increasingly crazy game of truth or dare. Or Howard’s basketball coach encouraging his team to make the most of what God gave ‘em. And yes, that is Gerard Butler as a leprechaun. Because... er... Just because.

Movie 43 promises to be both filthy and funny, and hits our screens on February 1.

RE: Movie 43 trailer
L: Scruffybobby Looks absolutely fuck awful. Not one iota of humour to be had in there. Like one of those "...Movie" movies only with famous people in it. What were any of them thinking? arsh considering most of this lot has probably been on the utter shitfest that is Saturday Night Live. More

had a similar premise, stars of the time, more miss than hit (don simmons excluded of course) so its a sketch show for famous people- well its worth a try i suppose- holly wood can only make so many superhero movies. More

erp
I also struggle to understand what the cast were thinking, but given the quality on offer, there must be some real funny to be had here, or if not, it's the biggest bout of collective insanity ever documented on film. More
